At Luminous OT, we believe mobility is more than movement—it’s independence, confidence, and connection. Recently, our occupational therapy team hosted a Wheelchair Mobility and Skills Workshop, designed to help clients and their families build practical skills for everyday life. During the session, participants learned how to navigate different terrains, transfer safely, and customize seating positions for comfort and posture. Our therapists also guided them through energy conservation techniques and tips for adapting their home and work environments for smoother accessibility. What stood out most was the resilience and teamwork in the room—clients encouraging one another as they mastered new techniques and celebrated each small victory.
